Indonesian nickel venture to commission in 2015
Indonesia’s PT Central Omega Resources (COR) Industri Indonesia (CORII) expects to begin production of nickel pig iron at a joint venture project by the end of the year, local media report. 90% of output is expected to be shipped to China, which has been looking for sources of nickel since Indonesia banned exports of unprocessed ores in January 2014, Kallanish notes.
