Indian coal production rises, ministry appoints new secretary
Indian coking coal production surged 26.6% on-year to 4.70 million tonnes in October, against 3.71mt produced a year earlier. Output in April-October grew 25.64% to 30.21mt against 24.04mt a year earlier, Kallanish notes.
