Imports influx hits Indian stainless steel capacity utilisation: report
Capacity utilisation at Indian stainless steel mills has declined to 55% due to cheap imports from China and other countries with which India has a free trade agreement. This is according to reports citing the Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA). This figure was 65-70% a year ago, Kallanish notes.
