ISPA urges DRI supply for induction furnace mills
The Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) has urged the Ministry of Industry, Mine & Trade to implement direct reduced iron supply under determined quotas to induction furnace mills, Kallanish notes.
In a letter to Deputy Minister Keshavarz addressing the mills’ urgent need for raw material and fragility of the situation, ISPA points to the risk of some plants closing, thereby impacting output and reducing export revenue.
