Turkey's IDC reduces sections output on weak demand
Turkish long steelmaker Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) has partially suspended production at its medium sections mill due to adverse market conditions, Kallanish learns from the company. Sales will consequently decline 5% on a monthly basis.
Weak demand from local and export markets and declining prices are reported to be behind the move. Working shifts at the mill have been reduced from three to two.
