Hebei targets coking coal in new pollution reduction plan
Northern China’s Hebei province is preparing a new “enhanced action plan” to control air pollution, according to local media reports. The new plan will increase focus on the region’s coal use, meaning steelmakers may have to invest in their coking coal plants, Kallanish notes.
