Hebei steelmaking to break for parade
Beijing’s Environment Bureau confirmed last week that it would be taking measures to ensure clear skies at a parade in September that would mirror those taken during an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit last November. Those measures forced a large-scale but temporary closure of sintering, ironmaking and steelmaking activity in areas surrounding the capital but the impact on the market is likely to be limited, Kallanish notes.
