HKM Duisburg to store more gas for power generation use
Hüttenwerke Krupp-Mannesmann (HKM), the Duisburg-based mill jointly owned by Germany’s large strip producers, has lined up €15 million ($17m) for the construction of a new gas tank.
The project is currently in the planning phase, which involves public approval and expertise, a HKM spokeswoman confirms to Kallanish. The current landmark gasometer with a volume of 50,000 cubic meters is to be replaced by a bigger unit of 70,000 m³.
