Global crude steel output creeps up to new annual record in 2014
The World Steel Association (worldsteel) says that global crude steel output reached 1,662 million tonnes in 2014, just 1.2% up compared to 2013, although a new annual record, Kallanish notes. Production of crude steel in December flattened out, increasing by only 0.1% year-on-year.
