Germany crude steel output flattens in 2014, recovers somewhat in 2015 - RIW

The German steel industry should see a minor recovery in 2015 following an almost flat performance in 2014 according to a report by think-tank Rhine-Westphalia Institute of Economic Research (RWI). In a report seen by Kallanish, the institute forecasts crude steel output in Germany to grow by only 0.5% this year. Growth however should be healthier in 2015 when economic recovery should see output rise to 43.6 million tonnes, an increase of 1.7% year-on-year. …
