Gazprom calls off Nord Stream pipeline expansion
Russia’s Gazprom has reportedly put plans to expand its Nord Stream gas pipeline on hold, according to Reuters in Moscow. This is the second suspension of an extension to its European network after the company decided in December to stop its South Stream project going across the Black Sea to Bulgaria, where it was to connect into Italy and central Europe (see Kallanish 2 December).
