Fire at Baosteels Bayi plant causes fatality
A fire at a steelworks operated by Baosteel subsidiary Bayi Iron and Steel in north western China’s Xinjiang reported a fire in the early afternoon on 27 August. The company did not comment on how this would impact production but the fire occurred during a maintenance period, Kallanish notes.
