Finished product output falls in Czech Rep, up in Slovakia in December
Production of rolled steel products in the Czech Republic declined -3.5% year-on-year in December to 332,760 tonnes. Pipe output meanwhile surged 24% to 38,900t, Kallanish learns from the Steel Federation (HZ) of the Czech and Slovak Republics.
Output of continuously cast semi-products rose 14% that month to 424,720t, while pig iron production was up 8% to 361,970t. Sinter and coke output rose 8% and 2% respectively to 499,780t and 159,760t.
