Fenix ships iron ore after ship breakdown
Australian miner Fenix Resources has completed its first shipment of iron ore after the bulk carrier, Ya Tai 2, broke down and caused an oil spill at Geraldton Port in Western Australia, Kallanish notes.
The ship has now departed Geraldton with a reduced quantity of 37,147 wet metric tonnes of cargo to allow the vessel to set sail. This consists of 11,000 tonnes of lump and around 26,156t of fines at the forecast grade specification of 63.3% Fe and 61.5% Fe, …
