February steel shipments fall in US
Total shipments of steel from US mills fell month-on-month in February as the downturn in the US steel sector appears to gather pace. Flat product shipments meanwhile did likewise, mirroring the overall percentage fall.
The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) tells Kallanish that for the month of February 2015, US mills shipped 6,925,596 net tons of steel.
