FMG lashes out at rivals as market floods
Nev Power, chief executive at Australia’s Fortescue Metals Group (FMG), criticised fellow miners Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton for their aggressive expansion plans on Friday. The comments came after Rio and BHP announced plans to lift volumes and cut costs, a move which is driving other iron ore miners to the wall, and is also likely to be making business uncomfortable for the likes of FMG, Kallanish notes.
