Work starts on modernisation of Italy's mothballed Palini e Bertoli plant
Modernisation works at the Evraz Palini e Bertoli plate-making plant in San Giorgio di Nogaro, Northern Italy, will start on Monday 9 February. The facility should return to operation in October 2015, union sources tell Kallanish.
The plate mill, owned by Russia's Evraz group, was mothballed because of unfavourable market conditions in August 2013. The facility will now undergo a series of modifications over the next few months (see Kallanish 30 January)…
