Esfahan Steel plans ramp up after hitting record 2.7mt output last Iranian year
Iran’s third-largest steelmaker, Esfahan Steel Co (Esco), reported record crude steel production of 2.7 million tonnes in the last Iranian year, which ended on 20 March. This output was up 20% on the previous year. The firm’s board is currently considering a proposal to advance crude steel capability to 4.2m t/year.
