Egyptian Steel mulls BF steelworks after launch of new plants by mid-2016
Egyptian Steel is studying the feasibility of constructing a new blast furnace-based steelworks whose surplus BF gas would fuel a new captive power plant, a company spokesperson tells Kallanish. The firm plans to bring on line two new electric arc furnace-based steel plants by mid-2016.
