DNSteel upgrades EAF with new Danieli system
Vietnamese coated flats and pipe producer Da Nang Steel (DNSteel) has commissioned a new electrode regulating system for its EAF, according to technology supplier Danieli. Southeast Asian EAFs had struggled to maintain output as scrap prices dropped far more slowly than iron ore in 2014 and early 2015, but DNSteel has managed to steadily boost output, Kallanish notes.
