Conares to double welded pipe capacity in bid to reduce imports to UAE
Dubai-based re-roller Conares plans to commission by year-end a new 250,000 tonnes/year electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe mill, taking its total capacity for the product to 500,000 t/y. Product range will thus be expanded to include pipe up to 12 inches in diameter, which will cater for demand largely met by imports from India, China and Vietnam.
