Cliffs cutting production at two Michigan iron ore mines
Cliffs Natural Resources is reducing operations at two Michigan mines due to decreased demand for its iron ore pellets.
At the end of April, Cliffs issued WARN notices to employees of its Empire and Tilden mines, Kallanish learns from the company’s latest quarterly filing. Workforce reductions will begin in June and continue through October.
