Cliffs completes sale of Canadian chromite assets
Cliffs Natural Resources has completed the sale of its chromite assets in Northern Ontario, Canada to Noront Resources for $27.5m in cash. The assets sale was an increase of $7.5m over the previously announced sale price of $20m, Kallanish notes.
The transaction, which is another step in the mining company’s divestment of non-core assets, includes three chromite deposits held by Cliffs subsidiaries.
