Chinese steel prices end strong week down
Chinese steel prices have rebounded from last week although futures prices dipped slightly on Friday. Falling production levels are supporting higher prices, especially for longs, Kallanish notes.
The January 2016 rebar contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed down CNY 18/tonne at CNY 2,063/t ($337/t) on Friday. The same contract for hot rolled coil closed down CNY 23/t at CNY 2,080/t.
