Chinese steel execs ask Beijing to resolve overcapacity
Senior steel industry executives have asked for greater government support to reduce overcapacity at a consultation session during key political meetings in Beijing this week. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has said it will coordinate attempts to control capacity but the effectiveness of government measures have already been called into question, Kallanish notes.
