China may restart Nigeria steelworks
Nigeria’s Ajaokuta Steel Plant could restart 2 million tonnes/year of steelmaking capacity in 2017 after a consortium has been formed to revive the defunct national steelmaker. The project will mark another possible move by a Chinese steel firm into crude production in Africa, Kallanish notes.
