China Steel studies Indonesia plant
Taiwan’s China Steel Corporation (CSC) is launching a feasibility study into a $300 million steel plant investment in Indonesia. The study will be conducted alongside local steelmaker Artha Metal Sinergi (AMS), Kallanish learns.
AMS says the plant will eventually include both upstream and downstream facilities. The first phase would be downstream processing however and would take around 18 months to complete. It did not give a capacity for the project …
