Argentina's Sierra Grande sends largest ore shipment of year to China
MCC Minera Sierra Grande, Argentina’s only iron ore mine, last week made its biggest ore shipment of 2015 to China, according to local media reports, monitored by Kallanish.
Owned by China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC), the facility despatched 60,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate from Punta Colorada port. The miner has been shipping Sierra Grande ore to China since 2011.
