Cevital announces plans for upgrading Piombino
Algeria’s Cevital will revamp the blast furnace in Piombino and will build an electric arc furnace as it develops its recently acquired assets in Italy, trade union sources tell Kallanish. The news follows a meeting held at the Italian Ministry of Development (MISE) on 19 March involving Cevital ceo Issab Rebrab, Lucchini special commissioner Piero Nardi and several Italian Government ministers.
