Car production for UK market hits the accelerator in June.
UK passenger car production rose in the first half of 2014 reports the UK Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) in a report seen by Kallanish, whilst that in June was boosted by a surge in UK market demand.
It was a robust first half of 2014 for UK car manufacturing, with volumes up by 3.5% to 791,314 units, the society says. June output rose 3.7% to 136,419 cars, driven by a 16.5% growth in production for the UK market.
