Chile's CapAcero calls for import safeguards
Chilean longmaker, CapAcero, has submitted an official request for the application of safeguards aimed at limiting the import of wire rod originating in China, Kallanish learns from local reports. The document, which was reportedly submitted to the country’s anti-price distortion commission, Comisión Antidistorsiones de Precios (CAP), highlights how the increasing imports of wire rod from China are progressively putting at risk the domestic industry.
