CSI increases welded pipe capacity with new mill
October sees the start-up of California Steel Industries Inc.’s (CSI) new 400,000 short ton capacity electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe mill. The company’s new No. 2 pipe mill will expand its ERW steel pipe production capacity to 650,000 short tons/year, Kallanish learns from Japanese steelmaker JFE, which owns a 50% share in CSI.
