Big River Steel inks supply agreement with Air Products
Big River Steel is set to source gases necessary for the steelmaking process from Air Products, Kallanish learns.
Air Products will operate an air separation unit (ASU) providing pipeline oxygen, nitrogen and argon, and a Prism® unit providing pipeline hydrogen, to Big River’s new hot rolled steel facility currently under construction in Arkansas. The onstream target date for all the Air Product units is July 2016.
