Baotou shuts Inner Mongolia blast furnace
Northern China’s Baotou Iron and Steel has ended ironmaking at the No.2 blast furnace at its main plant in Inner Mongolia. The company is increasingly focusing on higher-end flat steel output at a new steelworks commissioned last year, Kallanish notes.
