Baosteel upgrades pipes but cuts capacity
Eastern China's Baosteel plans to upgrade a pipe mill at its Yantai Baosteel Steel Pipes subsidiary in eastern Shandong province to allow it to sell more pipe with premium connections, the company says. The upgrade will result in a reduction of capacity by 45,000 tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.
