Baosteel starts work on Zhanjiang CRC mill
Baosteel began construction of a cold rolling line at its Zhanjiang greenfield steelworks project in Guangdong province on 5 May, the company says. The site expects to see its first crude steel production in the last quarter of 2015, Kallanish notes.
The 1,550mm line will be commissioned in the last quarter of 2017 and will be in addition to the already-planned first phase cold rolling mill due in 2016. No capacity for the new line was given.
