Baosteel could have Zhanjiang plate mill ready in March
Eastern China’s Baosteel has begun installation of its relocated heavy plate mill at the 8.93 million tonnes/year Zhanjiang greenfield steelworks project in the southern province of Guangdong. It could complete work in March this year, it says. The installation gives the steelmaker the ability to begin earning revenue from the site, which it has warned will need an unspecified period of time to pay off its capital expenditure costs, Kallanish notes.…
