Asia struggles to find new sources of demand growth
Apparent steel consumption growth in Asia and Oceania could slow to 1.7% in 2014 from 4.9% last year as the region struggles to make up for the sharp slowdown in China. India and Southeast Asia combined will have to pick up additional slack in 2015, as demand in Japan declines, Kallanish notes.
