SMS revamps walking beam furnace at ArcelorMittal Asturias
ArcelorMittal Asturias’ walking beam furnace in Gijon will be subjected to an extensive renovation aimed at redesigning the combustion equipment and introducing the possibility to run on blast furnace gas, the company tells Kallanish. Italian turnkey contractor, SMS Meer SpA, will carry out the work at the Spanish long products facility.
