ArcelorMittal plays down China Oriental takeover talk
China Oriental, a Hong Kong-listed 11 million tonnes/year Chinese steelmaker, suggested this week that major investor ArcelorMittal would shortly make a general offer to take control of the company. ArcelorMittal is keen to downplay the news however, telling Kallanish it had no immediate intention of making an offer.
