Amreli Steels signs deal for new bar mill
Pakistan’s Amreli Steels has signed a contract to procure a 300,000 tonnes/year bar rolling mill from Primetals Technologies, which will boost overall bar capacity to 500,000 t/y.
The expansion comes at a time when Pakistan’s industry outlook is “… very robust”. Construction steel demand is “… at record levels” as demonstrated by the 36% steel use growth in the year through June, Amreli tells Kallanish.
