Acciaierie Venete on track with new blooming mill
Italian longs producer, Acciaierie Venete says it is on track to commission its new blooming mill in the second half of 2014. The new hot rolling mill sits downstream of a caster, which was launched in 2009 for 400mm, 500mm and 600mm diameter blooms.
The caster was step one, and the mill upgrade and revamp is step two of Venete’s plans to enable it to roll the larger-sized blooms that its new No 4 continuous caster can cast.
