ATI expects stainless prices, demand to remain under pressure
Selling prices and demand for standard stainless steel products will remain under pressure until raw material prices recover and the level of imports normalise, says Allegheny Technologies Inc (ATI). The specialty producer expects high-value product sales to weaken in the second half of the year as new orders will not fully replace a large oil and gas pipeline project that benefitted first half results.
