A flat year beckons for US crude steel output
US crude steel weekly production and capability utilisation rose firmly year-on-year in the week-ending 6 December, the latest figures released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) show. Year-to-date figures meanwhile appear to signal that both final 2014 output and capability utilisation will remain largely flat and just above the respective values for 2013.
