Eight Chinese mills take $41 million in subsidies in H1
Eight major Chinese steelmakers which have released their reports for the first half of 2014 have received Yuan 250 million ($41m) in government grants, accounting for 25.8% of their combined net profits, reports the 21st Century Business Herald. Of these mills, Hunan Valin is of particular concern as government grants were more than four times its net profit, Kallanish observes.
