Turkish 2019 pipe exports drop despite December surge
Turkish welded pipe exports surged 40.5% on-year to 215,080 tonnes in December; they were also up 15.5% from November, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Their average value decreased to $728/tonne versus $830/t in December 2018; however, this was up from $681/t in November 2019.
