Italian steel output hits four-year high in 2017
In 2017 Italian mills saw crude steel output increase by 2.8% year-on-year to 24.04 million tonnes, according to data released by the local steel association Federacciai.
Production was the highest since 2013 when the country produced 24.09mt, Kallanish notes. Growth in 2017 also outpaced the outlook issued by Federacciai only in September last year.
