Xinjiang Non-Ferrous Metal Industry begins lithium salt project
Chinese state-owned Xinjiang Non-Ferrous Metal Industry has broken ground for a 100,000-tonne lithium salt project. It is said to be part of the world's largest integrated lithium resource mining, processing and smelting project.
The first-phase construction has a capacity of 75,000 t/year, which covers lithium carbonate of 30,000 t/y, lithium hydroxide of 30,000 t/y, and lithium chloride of 15,000 t/y, Kallanish learns.
