Xiaomi enters EV market with $1.5 billion investment
Chinese smartphone producer Xiaomi Corp has confirmed rumours that it plans to enter the electric vehicle arena, Kallanish reports.
In a post on Twitter of a filing made with the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, Xiaomi confirms that it plans to begin manufacturing electric vehicles. The company also noted in the post that a more formal launch was slated for later in the day.
