Western Europe breaks 1m plug-in vehicle milestone
Western Europe’s plug-in electric vehicle (EV) market broke the 1 million annual new sales milestone during November, Kallanish reports.
According to Schmidt Automotive Research, sales of new plug-in electric cars in Western Europe, which include both hybrids (PHEVs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs), have exceeded 1m for the first time. The research indicates that total sales of EVs are expected to reach just under 11m by the end of 2020.
